Why i Made the Move From Flickr

Hello All, you may have noticed the latest news about Flickr's new "Favoring Pro Members" Policy.

Flickr, oh Flickr.

A Website that used to be my Happy place now turned into a "Buy Pro or Parish" Wasteland, it used to be a Hub for all my photos, now it's just a ticking time bomb for what was and still is my Hobby.

You might ask, Why didn't i Upgrade to Pro?
Well, Pro is now 40 Bucks for a year... might sound good, but i'm not sure if they still have a Limit for Pro Users or not, point is, i might not Shell out 40 Bucks a Year for Flickr.

I Read the Fine Print, why are you saying "I Told You so"?
Well, remember when you guys pretty much told me off when i made that Rant on Smugmug?

Well, now that this is happening, it's more relevant than ever.

Why not move to a secondary Photo Sharing Website?
Well, i haven't found one yet... let alone one that matches the Widespread Community that Flickr has, i'm not moving to Twitter or Instagram, but i'm trying to find something as Close to Flickr as Possible, might import all of my pics there as well.

Isn't this going to kill your Fanbase?
While i'm sad to see some not follow me in my Journey to better pasture, or a few to not be in the know about my Decision, i hope to reach new Fans on this Journey, you all will be missed if you decide to give up on me here.

Hope Flickr Changes their Mind before Jan 8th, if they do i'll come back to Flickr, But until then... this is where all my New Content Past that date will go.

Thanks for Visiting,
Michael (AsiimovRetailer)

P.S, Not Moving to DeviantART or FurAffinity, while yes those websites are great for photo sharing to a Wide Audience, DA is Flawed and Outdated and FA is not going to gather as much people as i need for my Photography.
